Meet Micaela
I was born in Philadelphia and raised in Cheltenham, the dreamiest suburb of all time. Coming from a family of six kids and living near tons of other Irish-Catholics, I was surrounded by children. Caretaking came naturally and sometimes begrudgingly. Babysitter, camp counselor and lifeguard were some of my early roles in the neighborhood.
After receiving my B.S. in Public Health at Temple University, I chased the sunshine to Los Angeles and worked for a non-profit serving youth. Broke and burnt-out within a year, I transitioned to nannying. I met baby Henry in 2018, and we became fast friends. Six years later, I’m lucky enough to still have a relationship with the family who solidified my passion for maternal and infant care (that’s us, to the right).
After moving back to Philly in 2021, I completed my postpartum doula training with DONA International. Since then, I have worked with families in the city and surrounding areas. While also a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, I am currently working towards my IBCLC licensure so that I can better serve the breast and bottle feeding needs of my families.
